Most local authorities and environmental health officers require the installation of an electronic noise limiter in village halls, pubs, bars, clubs, restaurants, health clubs and other entertainment venues to minimise complaints regarding noise pollution. Many schools and colleges are also fitting a noise limiter in music department practice rooms in order to protect students from possible hearing damage.
As from April 2008 entertainment venues have to comply with The Control of Noise at Work Regulations to ensure that workers hearing is protected.
The bigger the band, the louder the band, which is why more and more venues have these noise limiters installed for the protection of guests, employees and neighbours.
My Wedding Band make the ideal band for such venues, as we have one slider on our desk controlling the entire sound, rather than individual amps and of course they are impossible to work round if your band has a drummer.
